| Performs preliminary screening of patients to include: visual acuity measurement, eye exam, visual fields (confrontation, Humphrey, Goldman & Tangent), applanation tonometry, ocular motility, pupillary exam, slit lamp exam, keratometry, lensometry and refraction. Performs specialized ophthalmic testing and assists in minor surgical procedures such as: color vision testing, A & B scan ultrasound, ophthalmic photography, fluorescein angiography, corneal topography and others. Logs and codes photographs and maintains a repository of photographic reports and teaching files. Conducts screening examinations on clinic admissions. Participates in research projects, assists in subject selection, develops photo layouts and conducts independent photo studies.
